Pokemon is a well-known franchise and everyone has heard of it in one way or the other. Pokemon Go, however, was fairly new and not many people had heard of the game’s release on day one.

Since we got the opportunity from Niantic to make Pokemon Go mobile game known to the people who have never heard of it, we took it upon ourselves to interest the user in downloading the mobile game. Mr. Villasanta from Niantic told us that they wanted to reach out to people in the most remote locations.

Niantic: We want Pokemon Go to reach even the most remote locations.

We took the most creative way to interest players from the remote locations. Memes, we hired an in-house team of Pokemon Expert and told them to create the memes that would interest people who have heard of Pokemon, and those who have not heard of Pokemon.

It worked, within a solid week, we helped Ninatic generate 1m Facebook likes. By the time our campaign was over, we had helped Niantic generate 1.8m Facebook likes. With our indirect approach, the Pokemon Go game reached organically over 48m users on Facebook & Instagram. Garnering a total of 12.1m engagement on Facebook & Instagram through memes and videos. Pokemon Go was the first game to reach 10m downloads within a week.
